Generation count and monthly resets

How generation limits work and when they reset.

Every plan has a monthly generation limit (except Pro and Studio, which are unlimited). Understanding how counting and resets work helps you plan your creative output and avoid surprises.

What counts as a generation

Each individual ad output counts as one generation. A quick-generate batch of 5 ads = 5 generations. A variant request producing 3 variants = 3 generations. Daily queue ads count too (3-5 per day, depending on your settings). Edits in Campaign Studio do not count as new generations because they modify an existing ad rather than creating a new one.

Monthly limits by plan

  • Free: 20 generations/month. With a queue of 3 ads/day, this covers about 6-7 days of queue plus a few on-demand generations.
  • Starter ($29/mo): 200 generations/month. Enough for a daily queue of 5 ads (150/month) plus 50 on-demand generations.
  • Pro ($79/mo): Unlimited. No counter, no limits, no throttling.
  • Studio ($299/mo): Unlimited per brand. Each brand has no generation cap.

Reset timing

Your count resets on the anniversary of your signup date, not the first of the month. If you signed up on March 15, your count resets on April 15, May 15, and so on. The reset date is shown on your billing page.

Approaching your limit

Mani shows a usage bar on your dashboard at all times. At 80% of your limit, you see a yellow notification suggesting you consider a top-up or upgrade. At 100%, on-demand generation pauses but your daily queue continues for 2 more days as a grace period. After the grace period, both queue and on-demand generation pause until your next reset or a top-up purchase.

Top-ups

Need more generations without upgrading? Buy a top-up: 50 extra generations for $9.99. Top-ups are added instantly and do not expire. They roll over month to month. If you buy top-ups regularly, consider whether upgrading to the next tier would be more cost-effective.
