Plan switching
Can I upgrade mid-cycle?
Yes. When you upgrade, you get immediate access to the higher tier. Stripe prorates the remaining days, so you only pay the difference.
Can I downgrade mid-cycle?
Yes. The downgrade takes effect at your next billing cycle. You keep full access to your current tier until then.
What happens to my generations if I downgrade?
All past work stays in your account. Your new monthly generation limit applies starting the next cycle. Nothing is deleted.
Can I switch from monthly to annual?
Yes. Switching to annual saves roughly 17% (about 2 months free). You receive a prorated credit for unused time on your monthly plan.
If I cancel and re-subscribe, do I keep my Brand DNA?
Yes. Your Brand DNA and generated content persist for 90 days after cancellation. Resubscribe within that window and everything is restored.
Generation limits
What counts as one generation?
One click of "Generate" equals one generation, regardless of how many variants are produced in that batch.
Do generations roll over?
No. Unused generations reset at the start of each billing cycle.
Can I buy more generations?
Top-up packs are coming in Q3 2026. The planned price is $10 for 50 additional generations.
Do free-tool uses count against my limit?
No. Free tools (headline generator, color palette extractor, etc.) are unlimited and never count toward your generation balance.
What happens when I hit my limit?
Your generation queue pauses. You can still access all existing content and Brand DNA. Resume generating when your cycle resets or upgrade your plan.
Annual vs monthly
How much do I save with annual billing?
Roughly 17%, which works out to about 2 months free compared to paying monthly.
Can I cancel an annual plan mid-year?
Yes. You receive a prorated refund for the unused months remaining on your annual term.
Does annual billing lock in my price?
Yes. If we raise prices after you subscribe, your rate stays the same for the duration of your annual term.
Is there a quarterly billing option?
Not currently. We offer monthly and annual billing.
When does my annual plan renew?
On the same date the following year. Stripe handles renewal automatically and sends a receipt to your email.
Refunds and trials
How long is the free trial?
14 days with full Solo-tier features. No restrictions.
Do I need a credit card for the trial?
No. The trial is completely card-free. You only enter payment info when you choose a paid plan.
What is the refund policy?
14-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. If you are not satisfied within the first 14 days of a paid plan, you get a full refund.
How do I request a refund?
Email support@maniai.com or use the one-click refund button in Settings > Billing. Refunds are processed within 5 business days.
Can I extend my trial?
Yes. You can request a one-time 7-day extension at the /trial-extended page.
Team seats and tiers
How many seats does each plan include?
Solo includes 1 seat. Studio includes 3. Scale includes 10. Enterprise is custom.
Can I add seats without upgrading?
Yes. On Studio and above, additional seats cost $10 per seat per month.
What is the difference between Studio and Scale?
Scale offers higher generation volume, deeper Brand Radar reports, and advanced team collaboration features like approval workflows and role-based permissions.
Do team members get their own Brand DNA profiles?
Yes. Each brand within your workspace has its own DNA profile. Team members collaborate on shared brands, not personal ones.
Is there a nonprofit or education discount?
Yes. Email support@maniai.com with proof of nonprofit or educational status and we will apply the discount to your account.
